15 January 2010

Industrial loctions and employers accepting people who have completed the National Safety Passport CBT course have now received more assurance that their staff have the information and expertise to work safely in a high hazard environment.

The National Safety Passport e-learning program from Cognition Media has got endorsement from Teesside University. People have completed the National Safety Passport will now not only benefit from their nationally endorsed EMSS (Essential Minimum Safety Standard) Safety Passport card but will in addition qualify for University points to count towards a University Certificate in Professional Development (UCPD) or another university qualification.

This new development shows the National Safety Passport’s quality as an academic as well as a professional qualification further more showing the excellent instruction in industrial health and safety that is delivered.

The program is completely portable facilitating trainees to fit it in around their other duties. No more need for days away from the job, travelling or overnight costs; a no brainer in the current economic climate.

The huge cost savings to the industry make the National Safety Passport a popular alternative to more traditional classroom based passport schemes and recognition from both EMSS and now Teesside University further prove the high quality of training that accompanies the cost savings.

At the low cost of £69.99 (ex VAT) the CBT course includes the nationally recognised EMSS Safety Passport card which can be validated online for authenticity. This will emulate employer’s compulsory need for the provision of safety, health and environment (SHE) training with cost savings over those associated with the usual classroom delivered schemes.

The course has been validated to hold the attention of the candidate and improve knowledge retention while making the learning a more enjoyable experience. Reviews from both users and management has been overwhelmingly positive.
