Your house is your home
I have recently been considering selling my house and as with a lot of subjects like this have been attempting to find out what the best way to make the house really attractive before we either sell our house or stay in it for a bit longer. I started by looking at various rooms in the house and considering what I could do to better them and iron out the issues I might feel about them.
The heart of my house is the kitchen so I began by considering the kitchen layout, our kitchen is a fitted kitchen which is quite east to use with a reasonable work triangle (fortunately I talked to a local kitchen business about kitchen planning ahead of purchasing). The floor had problems with only lino down which had got a bit ripped up as I had moved washing machines and fridges about in it. I sought out some tiling advice from a near by company to get the floor tiles that would work in with the fitted kitchen without making the room look to dark (just some of the small things you have to think about when you come to sell your house, first impressions are everything within the short window people have to look at you house).
I then needed to ensure the bathroom looked good, my bathroom layout was a bit small because of some fitted cupboards which once taken out gave me lots more space (which if you are going on initial view could help sell my house). Once again I popped down to the local tiler for some good tiling advice and used larger light tiles which appeared to open the space in the room, just one of the many things to be considering when buying bathroom tiles.
The other rooms I decorated with a neutral light colour which seemed to draw the rooms out and gave the whole house a new look. I then stripped out as much stuff as I could and stored everything that wasn’t necessary away in the garage. The final thing, a house that I wanted to remain in, but after just one or two viewings brought to me from an online property site I have got some good interest, so fingers crossed ill be able to sell my house soon.
